I hosted a Writing, Breathwork & Yoga Workshop yesterday for the summer solstice. I thought it would be a nice to share a few of the reflections and writing prompts. It’s not something I’ve done before on my Substack. Have a read and let me know if you’d like more, and I’ll start offering it to paid subscribers.
Celebrate yourself in this moment
As the earth has now journeyed halfway round the sun, where are you now compared to winter? Compared to spring? During this time when life is teaming, take a little time each day to taste its sweetness.
Have you been sensing a deep desire for change? Are you sowing the seeds of intention. A desire to embrace change, adventure, and the freedom to step into the light, into your true self.
It is an ancient act for us to gather and share our stories. Do you feel a connection with something beyond yourself? This is a time to draw on nature’s peak energy. Feel your own power. Your creativity pulsing and moving under your skin. Eager to flow into your fingertips.
You are not alone, you are part of something beautiful. Take a breath, take a moment to feel this awesome presence. The guidance and inspiration it offers is always there for you.
Moving forward isn’t always fast, it might not be in a straight line, you have to draw on inner strength and forge your own path. Follow your intuition because when you put your truth in writing you are making a deal with the universe. There is a special power in writing. Acknowledge joyfully what you are open to receiving in your life, and let it come.
The key to embracing hope is to find the light within the challenge. Meet learning, growth and wisdom with compassion and creativity so you feel nourished, and ready to love your creative self with courage and faith. It may feel at times as if we are in a barren land with little hope, but through rest, space and support we will find what we need to renew.
Can you accept help? Are you willing to release?
To dare to hope without becoming attached to how or when something will happen. Ready to surrender to your own creative force and intuition? To trust you have the skill and courage you need?
Who is the hero in your story? What made you, you? What do you want from this season?
It takes strength to listen to our voice, to accept our vulnerabilities and be compassionate to ourselves. To try even when we are fearful.
